Branden Boye, a seasoned R&D professional and co-owner of RespiLock, is a pioneering inventor known for developing the innovative CPAP tether. With a wealth of experience in both R&D and project management, Branden's expertise was honed during his tenure at an industrial service company. Here, he played a pivotal role in designing and constructing machinery and equipment that not only propelled the company's operations worldwide but also continue to be utilized to this day. His comprehensive understanding of airflow, PSI, CFM, and air testing equipment was instrumental throughout his tenure.

Under Branden's astute leadership, the company experienced remarkable growth, amassing revenues exceeding 8 million. Simultaneously, he oversaw global operations and catered to the diverse needs of industrial customers in 34 countries, spanning sectors such as power, food, paper, aerospace, and more, across the United States.

Branden embarked on his academic journey, graduating from Stephenson High School in 1990. In pursuit of expanding his knowledge and skill set, he completed an Associate's degree in Accounting from Rasmussen University in 2015, followed by another Associate's degree in Information Technology in 2017.

Having personally dealt with severe sleep apnea, Branden has devoted over a decade to working with CPAP machines. This hands-on experience as a CPAP user illuminated a crucial gap in the market for accessories and safety devices. He encountered issues with his hose detaching during sleep, jeopardizing the effectiveness of his treatment. While Branden remained oblivious due to being a deep sleeper, his vigilant wife noticed the problem and promptly reconnected the hose. Recognizing the critical importance of consistent treatment, Branden invented the CPAP tether—an ingenious solution that catches the hose to prevent it from falling away from the patient, prompting an electronic tether to alert the patient of the hose detachment and ensures uninterrupted therapy for patients.

This pivotal moment ignited Branden's passion for improving the CPAP user experience, leading him to explore the creation of additional accessories. With unwavering dedication, he has been actively involved in designing and developing new products that enhance the quality of life for CPAP users.

Bill Sauve is a co-owner of RespiLock of Northport Florida. From a young age, Bill has sought to own his own business(es) starting with a paper route at age 7 which set in motion his entrepreneurial spirit.

Bill graduated from the former Marinette Catholic Central High School in 1974. He attended and successfully completed numerous business courses through the University of Wisconsin. Bill started his employment at a local Chrysler-Plymouth dealership. He spent 9 years watching and learning from a true mentor who provided excellent learning lessons.

In early 1983, Bill accepted an ownership role at an office equipment company. For over 25 years, the firm achieved great success marketing office equipment throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and northern Wisconsin.

During this time he become involved in the radio business ( ownership/investor) and after a few years become the sole owner of 4 radio stations in Wisconsin and Michigan. Consolidation in the radio business allowed Bill to sell the stations in 1999.

Bill has always had a wonderful network of great clients and friends. An investment with an in-home care agency provided an opportunity to move to his beloved Door County Wisconsin. He is actively involved in the operation of the in home care agency with a team of dedicated employees.

A few years ago, Branden Boye from Respilock approached him about the development of a tether device that would provide a level of security and safety with CPAP equipment. Considering that numerous clients of the caregiver firm use CPAP machines, Bill decided to further explore an ownership role with Respilock. The company has a very bright future as over 40 million people worldwide use CPAP devices and that number will continue to grow. Bill’s background in business along with Branden Boye’s creative skill set designing CPAP accessories will guide Respilock into the CPAP accessory market through tethers and mask holders which will be introduced in fall of 2023.

THE CPAP SAFETY TETHER

We designed the Tether to help those stay connected while they sleep. The CPAP Safety Tether was created because there was a problem that was not being addressed by the manufacturers of CPAP and BIPAP machines.
